Mr Stinnet talked about his book Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor, published by Free Press. The author argues in the book that President Franklin D. Roosevelt was eager to get the United States into World War II and took steps to ensure the Japanese would attack Pearl Harbor. Mr. Stinnett claimed that this was necessary to change he isolationism then prevalent in public opinion.
